When it comes to keeping your teeth looking pearly white, we all know that coffee is one of the biggest no-nos. Or so we thought, anyway...
Because it turns out that another of our favourite daily drinks may actually be even worse for teeth staining – and, no, we're not talking about red wine.
In fact, according to one dental expert, tea is actually be even worse than coffee when it comes to discolouration.
According to a release by dental brand White Glo, it's all down to three staining compounds found in tea – theaflavins, thearubigins, theabrownins. As well as this, your cuppa contains tannins, which contribute to the formation of plaque on your teeth, which causes yellowing.
