Things That Made Us Smile in 2021

2021 has been a hectic year. There’s been many highs and many lows. Today, we are reflecting on the things that made us smile in 2021!

Friends Reunion:

The reunion we’ve all been waiting for! The Friends reunion was definitely one of our highlights of this year. Seeing our favourite characters grow and still be as close as they are filled us with all the good feelings. 

Phoebe, Monica and Rachel still look incredible for their age. We loved seeing their incredible, bright white smiles at the reunion. The Olympics this year were very different, thanks to the lack of crowds and COVID-19 pandemic. However, one great moment from the Olympics that lives rent-free in our heads is the picture of Olympic Diver Tom Daley knitting at the olympics. 

We’re sure his knitting skills are just as good as his incredible diving. Either way, we really loved seeing this other side of Tom Daley at the Olympics. We hope he continues to share his knitting with us for many more years to come. 

Bernie Sanders Sleeping (and this iconic meme brand that came with it):

Ah, Bernie Sanders. A man of many talents. We absolutely loved it when an image of Bernie Sanders sleeping went viral earlier this year. This man is incredibly precious, and we should protect him with everything we have. 

We think we should start a petition to protect this national treasure. Here’s to another year filled with great Bernie memories (and hopefully many, many more memes).

Billionaire Space Race:

The Space Race that has undoubtedly bloomed this year has induced many smiles. Watching the antics of billionaires including Elon Musk and Jeffrey Bezos as they fight to be the first brand commercially in space has been interesting to say the least. 

We’re excited to see how the Space Race continues to unfold over the next year. Are you team Musk or Bezos? Let us know in the comments below. 

The Duck that ran the NYC marathon:

This list wouldn’t be complete without the adorable duck that ran the NYC marathon this year. Seemingly just happy to be there, this duck has captured our hearts in one event. His cute toddle lives rent-free in our heads.
